September 21-22, 2024
In 2024, the Railway Museum in Jaworzyna Śląska celebrates its 20th anniversary. Over the years, the museum has transformed from a locomotive depot slated for closure into Poland’s largest and most popular railway museum. It now houses nearly 150 rail vehicles, showcasing the history of railways in Silesia. The museum has completed numerous renovations of historic structures and the conservation of many exhibits. The museum’s depot still services locomotives and carriages, now for organized tourist rides.
On September 21-22, 2024, we invite you to a special edition of the annual Gala at the Railway Museum in Jaworzyna Śląska. In addition to showcasing historic and modern railway vehicles, we will present the history of the museum’s founding and discuss future development plans. We have invited individuals who contributed to the museum’s establishment and growth to speak, and we are organizing an international debate on the preservation of historic railways.
We have invited individuals who supported the founding and development of the Museum to speak. We are also planning an international debate dedicated to the preservation of historic railways.
